Isn't he cute? My son helped with the stuffing and chose the buttons. He named him "Beerie" (which would translate into English as "Beary"). He turned out quite well for our first try. Turning those little paws inside out sure was difficult!
And look who's enjoying the last rays of sun with him:
The weather forecast for this weekend sounded exciting: sunny and dry and we'll try to enjoy it as much as we can by maybe even putting on some summer clothes! The rest of the week they're expecting rain, so I will have to rethink the 'knight tournament in the garden' I was planning for my son's birthday. I've already cut some shields from cardboard which they can decorate so that should keep them busy for a while. I'll post some pictures next weekend.

Your daughter's dress is adorable. (and the teddy and doll too) My mom used to make alot of my dresses when I was growing up, and I wonder if I'll do the same as my baby girl grows up. I don't ussually sew anything that requires a pattern. Too many places to mess something up! Thanks for your comment...I keep forgetting to borrow that book from the library. Someone recommended it to me, and I'm pleased to get another recomendation from you as well!
How cute, I love the teddy and little doll.
Your daughters dress is gorgeous ~ my daughter would love it.
We are hopefully going to get some sunshine here in the UK over the weekend, but then the same as you ~ rain rain and more rain next week.
I love the picture at the top of your blog ~ that look on your sons face is great ~ it look like he is saying "for goodness sake be quiet ~ I am trying to drive!!"
Hope you have a nice weekend,
Warm wishes,
Tabitha X
tania,
you are quite the seamstress; the dress is beautiful. it makes me want to pull out my sewing machine and learn how to do more than sew a straight seam:D
beery and baby are darling. i agree with you; baby is sweet with no face at all. have a great, sunny weekend. hopefully it will not rain during the b'day party!!!
hugs,
dani xx
Hi Tania
Beerie is just gorgeous. You have really inspired me to set about making something for my Savanna. I have never sewn anything in my life and am going to ask my mum for some lessons.
I think items that mums make for their children are so special. Your children will always treasure these sweet things you made for them.
I love the twirly dress - so girly and beautiful. I imagine she loves to twirl and twirl in her dress that her very clever mummy made.
Shields for the children to decorate at the party sounds like a great idea. Finger's crossed the rain will hold off for you.
Warmest wishes
Elise
