Just another e-mail on my computer... one of those newsflashes we get daily. A link I follow in one of the headlines that caught my eye... and it all comes back in a flash.
Cancer.
I'm so thankful to be alive. Every.single.day.

Having fun in the sun
Barefoot. Your small toes... so kissable.
Your tiny feet still easily fit my hand yet you grow at an amazing rate.

Wishing flowers

My son brought home a shoebox filled with these flowers.
Every child in his class made a flower, the colours ranging from yellow, orange and red to pink and blue. The petals are folded in such a way that the flower can easily be opened. Inside each flower is a tiny wish for the newest member of our family.
Some just read "I wish you lots of happiness", but there are some that stand out, like "I wish you lots of adventures", "I wish you won't get sick often" or my favourite "I wish you: a brother and a sister who take care of you and a mom and dad who love you".

"Basket of fruit" - todays art version
My oldest daughter, our little artist, really does make the prettiest things:
In case you can't see: it's a red apple, an orange, a green apple, a lemon and grapes.

2 months

More than 2 months have passed by since you joined our little family.
Your dad and I keep repeating what a sweet little girl you are to anyone who wants to hear it. You have discovered that your tiny fists are great to chew on, you love it when we wind up your mobile and you smile as the bears 'dance' above you. When we put you on your belly you lift your head high until gravity pulls it back down again. You have started making little sounds and your brother and sister try to make out words :). You smile at us and your toothless grin makes us laugh. You seem to recognize your siblings and they happily entertain you.
I've had to put away your smallest clothes since you grow so fast (you were 58,5 cm last Tuesday!) but I gladly replace them with other clothes: some from your sister, some from your niece and some new ones (since the Mexx store was having such a great sale ;).
In the above picture you are wearing a dress that mama made you... you are a dream come true.
Love, mama x
