Happy days

After an extra long weekend the kids have to go back to school tomorrow (they've been home since Thursday due to some public and school holidays), and I just feel so

Well, I am a little happy, but that's not the reason why I have cupcakes :) . This is the complete picture:

At school it is tradition that the birthday child hands out a little something. Mostly cake or a little gadget. I bought a variety of these pens so the kids can choose one.

My daughter already chose one (yes, a pink one of course!) and my son chose one with a kangaroo. My husband took the day off to be with the kids and had baked the cupcakes by the time I got home from work. I just thought they needed a little extra something and what could be better than a dash of chocolate? And the best part is: there are even some left for me!

That is a lovely idea, over here the children normally take cake or sweets in on their birthday~but those pens are a nice idea.

Hi Tania

I love that Robin's birthday celebrations are still continuing. It sure does make for a very special birthday.

All of his classmates will be so happy to help him celebrate with these special gifts. The pens are a great idea.

Love
Elise

The pens are such a fun treat to go along with the baked goodies. I always loved bringing in homemade treats when I was little. Made the birthday extra special!

Of course you would add some chocolate...you live in chocolate heaven! Everything is better with a dash of chocolate. I like that you spelled out birthday wishes on the cupcakes.
