A tale of Cats and Snails

What do cats and snails have in common?

Nothing you say? Well, I beg to differ because...
Look what arrived via snail mail in my mailbox!

A cat in a hat. Sent to me by my dear bloggy friend Tabitha from the UK. Thanks so much Tabitha.

PS: I love the colours! They actually coordinate perfectly with my business cards!!

One of my closest friends now lives in Belgium with her new husband and 2 girls. She moved from the US a few years ago and has fallen in love with your country!

I travelled over from Tabitha's blog to see the snailmail pressie! It is gorg!!!

I was reading your past posts and your daughter's a clever little drawer!!!

I also read with interest your background. At the moment Im into 'all things Flemish' as I'm reading (for the 2nd time) the Niccolo Rising series by Dorothy Dunnett. Im a bit of a nut about her books, but usually it's the Francis Crawford ones I read again and again.

Anyway - the first book in the Niccolo series is sent in Bruge and I remember when I was o/s with my family in 2002 we visited friends in Brugge and I walked around those streets and couldn't believe the history! (Im just a sydney girl, we have nothing too old here!)

Anyway - enough of the rambling! SORRY!!

I have to sign off with my business address as I dont have my blog on blogger.

Hi Tania

What a beautiful surprise from the gorgeous Tabitha. Snail mail really is a wonderful thing. It is rare to receive a package in the post, or a handwritten note, so when something like this arrives it really does make your day such a special one. Thank you so much Tania, for coming up with this brilliant idea.

Also, thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog. I keep telling Troy that the last thing we need to do before we go to the hospital will be to publish a quick blog post to let you know we're on our way. But, if Mini is anything like Savanna there may not be news for a little while. At least you will know he's on his way.

I hope you are having a beautiful day.

Lots of love
Elise
