I did tell him however. I think that underneath all the cuddles, kisses and kind words he got the message.
We are so, so proud.
He said he worked very hard for it. We smiled.
My son is not the kind of child that starts homework straight away after coming home. It usually takes quite a few reminders from us that there is still homework to be done. But eventually he will do it. He does however pay a lot of attention to what the teacher is saying in the classroom. That's hard work. He's interested in lots of different things. I admire that. And he actually just said that 65 days of summer holiday is really long and that he would prefer 35.
I think he'll change his mind about that last one when he grows up.

Way to go Robin!!! He sounds like Tayla... she doesn't like school holidays period! she loves school so much! I'm so proud of Robin for doing so well at school as well as the fact that he enjoys school... most of the time that's half the battle!!! A big high 5 coming your way Robin... Hi Tania
Well done Robin!! What a joy it must be for you Tania, to have such a conscientious son who has a love of learning and a good work ethic.
I love the fact that he thinks the holiday period is too long - I guess you can always include some educational fun activities to satisfy his deisre to learn about the world around him. What are his favourite subjects?
Love and hugs

PS - It's Tuesday night (June 24) here and still no sign of meeting Mini Boy any time soon. We had our appointment with the obstetrician yesterday and he said he will book me in to be induced next week if he hasn't arrived by then. I am really hoping that Mini decides to come before we have to do that.
I've never heard a kid want to cut his summer holiday in half! Just wait till he starts having fun with you everyday, and he might change his mind.... It's great to hear about kids who really enjoy school and want to learn.
What a little star! Well done on the great report card Robin and keep up the hard work.
And i agree with him that the summer holidays are too long!
Love,
