Kilts and bagpipes

At the end of August we attended the Scottish Days. Not in Scotland (unfortunately), but not far from where we live. It's a two day happening where you can learn about Scottish food, drinks, dancing etc.

(Yes, I do realize I'm late at posting this at the end of October, but the pictures were too good not to post and since I can't seem to find anything else to blog about.... Besides, I thought Amanda might like this ;)

The Kintyre Schools Pipe Band

The kids loved watching the dancers.

These two girls were with the Kintyre Band.

There were so many different dances, and each time the dancers changed into a different outfit!

So cute.

It was a great way to end the summer holiday.

I'm glad that you all had a nice time ( even the weather was nice ~ not authentic Scottish summer weather at all LOL!)
What kind of food and drink did you sample?
Kintyre isn't a million miles away from where we are!

Hope you are all well.

As we would say over here in Scotland ~ Cheerio, and see ye later!

Since it was a nice and quite warm day we enjoyed some icecream (which, if we may trust the seller, was made from a Scottish recipe)!

You could also sample whisky, but since we're not into that we let that pass.

Wow! That looks like fun. I can't imagine we have anything like that here.
