About the picture in my blog header...
A few years ago we had our family studio portraits taken. My daughter was 18 months at the time and my son was 4. Unfortunately the session did not go as I had originally imagined, and when we left the studio I actually cried. I really didn't think that the photographer would have been able to take any decent pictures.
Let's just say that I didn't expect much when we went back a few weeks later to pick up our pictures. We were happily surprised however and ended up buying almost all the pictures that had been taken that day. The one I posted is actually on display in my living room. I've really come to like it a lot. My little girl had had enough of the car by that time and my son was very annoyed that she cried while he was "driving", hence the faces. My little sweethearts... oh how I love them.
I'll try to post some of the other "before the tears"-pictures sometime soon, even if it were just for you to see that there were indeed some really lovely shots.
PS: the tears dried quickly and the angry faces didn't last very long...

Hi!
I'm new to the blogging world also. I found your site through Sheye's. Such a heart-breaking situation. I too just made my first purchase from etsy. I got the buttons and 2 of the Superprincess series. I got Ava with wings and the mermaid. Come over and visit me. Right know I've only posted on Bella and her bubs, but I think I'm going to do more of a Mommy blog on sweetpeas and snapdragons.
Love,
Chesnye
OHG that is too funny. You never know what's going to happen when you take your kids for photo's.
I see you haven't been bloggong for long ,but have already found 2 of my favorite artist's Belle & Boo and Sarah Jane. You have great taste!!
I LOVE the photo! Sometimes the unexpected is what we end up loving the best! Welcome to blogging!!!
I never read the story behind your header picture. It is a sweet photo, and often parents try to document only the happy moments (even though real life seems to have nearly equal moments of tears)
